About
Hello! I’m Paulo Isagani M. Urriza.
I’m currently…
- A Ph.D. Student at UCLA - taking Electrical Engineering and affiliate to the COgnitive REconfigurable Systems Lab (CORES) under Prof. Danijela Cabric
- An opensource enthusiast – everything opensource from GNU/Linux, to LaTeX, to WordPress, and many more. I try to manage my computing life with as little proprietary software as I can possibly get by. So far, I’ve been very successful. Except for a few exceptions (Matlab)
- An uber-geek - if by geek you mean someone who likes to tinker/hack around with technology/software to bend it to his will. Some would have their own definitions of course.
- A frustrated musician – I can play a wide variety of musical instruments, but I don’t think I’m any good at any. Jack of all trades, master of none I guess. I do occasionally enjoy making music (just for myself) and regularly play at the local church. Disclaimer: I don’t sing!
- An occasional blogger who rarely updates this blog but tries none the less.
- A Corrs fanatic - I know, their old and their gone, but I still think they’re the best pop band ever. I also enjoy music from: Jars of Clay, Vanessa Carlton, Maroon 5, John Mayer, Imago and Sandwich to name a few.
I was previously…
- A Teaching Associate at the Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of the Philippines Diliman - I taught discussion classes in Linear Systems, Engineering Electromagnetics, Digital Design, and most recently Probability Theory. I also taught the laboratory part of a service course for Computer Science students (Digital Circuits I).
- An MS Electrical Engineering student at the same institution. I was part of the Digital Signal Processing Laboratory
About this blog
The Akashic Field Chronicle is my personal blog. It’s main purpose is to share the minute amount of knowledge and experience that I have gained so far in my attempts of understanding and tapping into that ultimate theory. The theory of everything.
If the concept of the A-field Chronicle still eludes you, then I recommend you read my very first post to shed a little more light to the rationale behind this blog.
